"Exploring the Recording Artist / Record Producer Relationship: A Dialogue About Creative Synergy"

On January 7 at 1 p.m. Kitty Margolis and Concord Records producer Nick Phillips will be co-moderating an interactive panel discussion of internationally renowned jazz recording artists and record producers sharing their secrets in collaborating successfully to create an exceptional recording. This will be an interactive panel aimed at illuminating some of the opportunities and challenges faced in planning and manifesting the optimal recording experience from pre-production to CD release celebration.

GRAMMY Career Day provides 700 high school students the opportunity to experience and learn about the many careers in music. Through interactive workshops, performances, and discussions, students learn about careers in production, performance, composition, arrangement, and business. This year Kitty Margolis, an alumna of the BECA program at SFSU, will be sharing her "Demystifying Jazz Singing" clinic with the next generation of jazz voices.
